Organix 2013 Schedule

Toronto, Canada. Glionna Mansell Corporation has released today the line-up of performances
for the annual ORGANIX Music Festival featuring the magnificent pipe organ… The King of
Instruments.


ORGANIX 13 will once again present in collaboration with the Toronto Theatre Organ Society a
concert on the mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ at Casa Loma featuring Mark Herman (May 6,
8:00). Jane Parker Smith will give the official festival opening gala on May 8, 7:30 at
Metropolitan United Church where Canada’s largest pipe organ resides. The festival continues
with several solo, duo and one trio performance, plus the yearly Alan Jackson organ
demonstration at Holy Trinity during DOORS OPEN Toronto. This demonstration is great fun for
everyone as they sit at the console and play a large pipe organ. The closing gala concert on June
7, 7:30 at St. Clement’s Anglican Church will be a duo performance with Chelsea Chen (organ)
and Lewis Wong (violin).


It has become a tradition that all ORGANIX concerts are free to those 18 years of age and
younger. On-line discounted student (19 to 30 years), adult and senior adult tickets along with
build-your-own passes are available for everyone offering great value to the ORGANIX
experience.

ORGANIX is an annual month-long music festival featuring the pipe organ and its vast solo and
ensemble repertoire. Founded in 2006 by Bill O’Meara and Gordon Mansell, the festival has an
alumni of the “Who’s-Who” of the world’s finest internationally acclaimed performers including
Dame Gillian Weir, James David Christie, Massimo Nosetti, Eugenio Fagiani, Marek Kudlicki,
Patricia Wright, David Palmer, Alison Clark, William O’Meara, Aaron Tan, John Tuttle, Rachel
Laurin, Elke Völker, St. Michael’s Choir School and violinist Jacques Israelievitch. ORGANIX
has grown to be one of the world preferred stops for touring organists.
